Many of the steins in this section were also produced in Freising from stoneware and/or porcelain. The molds for the steins in this section originated in Freising. Fourteen models were made in all three materials, stoneware, porcelain, and ivory stoneware. Another 15 were made in stoneware, and ivory stoneware only. Seven models were made in porcelain, and ivory stoneware only. This last combination is the only example of HR steins in two materials being manufactured simultaneously. Porcelain steins were being manufactured by Hauber & Reuther, while the same model numbers in ivory stoneware were being manufactured by Merkelbach & Wick. This list also includes the few very rare, HR, blue and grey saltglaze pieces made by Merkelbach & Wick.
