A small vase in the typical blue/gray colouring of the westerwald area in Germany.
This little vase measures 13.5cm, and is decorated in a minimalistic style with lines and dots in blue. The decoration is incised into the clay, and then salt-glazed.
The vase dates to the beginning of the 20th century, where such designs were made by the likes of Richard Riemerschmid and Van de Velde.
I have not yet been able to identify the designer or the producer. However, it is likely it was produced by a company like Simon Peter Gerz III or Reinhold Hanke.
The vase is unmarked.
