Aktienbrauerei Amberg [25th ANNIVERSARY 1897 - 1922]

Thick blue, bold letters and numbers with solid blue line on circumference of the base.

HAND PAINTED HIGHLIGHTS WITH THICK ENAMEL | THE COLORS ARE BRIGHT AND SHINY

Simple decoration around circumference of original pewter lid

1/2L. & calibration marks; there is a small engraved or impressed mark on tang, but hard to make out.

Super clean and well cared for stein.

No marks underneath lid.

I have not yet attempted to identify mark on base. It definitely looks familiar though???

Additionally, there’s a small mark that looks like an “F”, but difficult to see.

The “25" on the steinkrug is a commemorative 25th anniversary [1897 - 1922] of the Aktienbrauerei. The Brewery Aktienbrauerei [Brauhaus Amberg] was located in Amberg, Bavaria, Germany. I had visited it before its doors sadly closed in 1990. Dawn, my wife, and I use to frequent Nuremberg and its surrounding towns and villages, such as Amberg and Bamberg, to enjoy the many local gausthaus, brauerei, and beerfest. Sure miss those days!

Steinkrugs like this bring back those wonderful memories!!

This steinkrug has beautiful, bright colors with thickly enameled highlights throughout the unique design.
