The transfer decoration (the dates are hand painted) features a pair of kegels being knocked over by a winged kegul. Above the kegul is a woman, wreathed and crowned. These are all symbolic of kegeling victory. That combined with the dating suggest that this was given as a prize, either to an individual or to all members of a team. The lid, which is pressed metal, may or may not be a replacement. I tink it quite possible that this 1526 was sold as a blank to a finisher who then decorated and lidded it. The nice engraving on the lid makes me think that it's original as from the finisher. This may have been a regular business for this finisher. There is no decoration number.
