This is a well known stein with the theme of Monkeys Bears and Cats (used to symbolize drinking in excess). It’s manufacture is unknown, but it is most likely Marzi & Remy ( MR catalog 939 and 940). Matthias Girmscheid stein Catalog #1199 also covers this theme, but note the appearance of each of the animals on the 1199 stein versus this stein and the 939 and 940. I also have the 2 Liter in limited color version. Whereas this is the 0.4 Liter full color version
