This character stein is in the form of a kegel. Many years after Germans migrated to the United States, bringing the sport of kegeling with them, the sport of bowling evoved from kegeling for practical reasons. This stein is not a bowling pin, it's a kegel.
This stein is seen in different configurations. The body itself is seen in three or four colors. The central decoration is applied relief, there are four different ones. All feature the standard "pin(kegel) boy" celebraing. Alle Neun (All Nine). Kegeling utilized nine pins.
